Wet to Dry, and Dry to Wet
-
Wet /Paste
-
Suggestion for paste is 3 parts whole leaf aloe vera or 3 parts water and one part dry clay.
-
Paste: Mixed with water or IL WLA (to make a gel/paste).
-
Apply gel/paste directly to skin for drawing effect, as in the case of bee sting, mosquito bit, flea bites, spider bite, stinging nettle, etc. If it is not covered it will dry out, as it dries it will draw and pull.
-
If you want a tightening effect, as in the case of a facial for acne, pimples, minor cuts, leave it on until it almost, but not totally dry, then remove. Or you can spot for overnight.
-
If you want a more cooling soothing effect, such as for burns, scrapes, bruises, aches, pains, cover with a plastic covering or wet cloth so it doesn’t dry out. If you are not sure, alternate between.
-
Soak a couple of tablespoons of clay in a cup of water or a cup of green drink, drain off water and use hydrated clay as a pack for skin (you can do the same thing with healing herbs in water with the clay) Put the clay mixture on gauze and apply to skin, covered or uncovered as desired.
-
Making a paste and covering with saran wrap (keeping clay wet) will allow clay to draw inflammation and/or toxins longer, so in the case of injury or pain, this process has been successful – also spraying area with Silver Solution first, allowing it to dry before applying clay is an added benefit
-
Facial Mask: Mix with water or Aloe Vera (make a thin paste the consistency toothpaste to mustard)
-
Make enough to apply as a facial (using a teaspoon and the palm of your hand), allow to dry out on face/neck before washing
-
-
Treating individual blemishes, a tiny amount on each blemish can be left overnight
-
Dry Storage: Stored in a covered container that allows you to sprinkle or spoon (restaurant style cheese shaker was suggested as working great for sprinkling clay)
-
As a body exfoliation: Apply to body, allow to dry, then (optimally) brush off in shower with body brush before showering.
-
On gums at night - brushed on with finger
-
As a fine talcum for diapering powder
-
Added to your green drink or other drinks
-
Sprinkled on food for humans or pets
-
Brush teeth or use prior to or after toothpaste of choice
-
Added to bath water (soak 30 minutes)*
-
Added to foot bath (soak)*
-
Make clay capsules and take periodically
-
Body Pain - We use it frequently in the bath or topically as a paste on aches, pains, bruises, sprains, etc.
-
acid = inflmmation, inflammation = pain. Clay externally assists in pulling out acidity/toxins.
-
clay works when it's wet, we use different methods to keep moist as it does its' work.
-
-
*foot baths
-
*body baths
-
-
Detox Baths - Frequently we do detox baths with clay alone (maybe 1/4-1/2 cup depending on size of bathtub) and sometimes mix with Epson or Magnesium Salts (Dead Sea Salts or Unbleached Sea Salt best).
