Silver Activated Carbon: Silver impregnated carbons combine the treatment benefits of activated carbon with the unique bacteriostatic properties of silver. Granular activated carbon`s (GAC) physical properties, include attrition resistance, high surface area, adsorption rate and capacity, remove dissolved organics, industrial solvents and other toxic chemicals, purifying drinking water. Silver's broad-spectrum antimicrobial qualities, the lack of toxicity to humans and the fact that ionic silver is not prone to causing resistant strains.
